We bought Thor boat for a very friendly price. This was only possible because the boat had been abandoned on land and it was FULL of things that needed to be fixed. It was missing it’s engine, missing the main generator and pretty much everything on the boat needed to be fixed, updated and checked through. Now after a lot of work the boat is registered in Denmark and Jakob has used his unique qualities as Mr. Fix It, to completely renovate it with a new engine, a new generator and a lot of technical features to ensure great comfort for the family and ESPECIALLY a lot of features to ensure our safety.
This means that just taking over the boat has been a challenging and exciting journey in itself, but all is now updated.
The boat THOR is a Garcia Exploration 52. It’s a strong go-anywhere aluminium centreboarder yacht with a pilot saloon, designed for demanding sailors determined to go anywhere, in any weather, off the beaten track, even with a small crew.
